UGC Pricing Guide
How do creators actually price UGC? There's no single industry table, but there is a logic you can apply to any deal — and stay honest while doing it.
Start with the creative fee
Every UGC quote starts from the work itself: a base fee for the videos or photos you deliver. From there, honest pricing scales the base by the things that make your work harder or more valuable — your experience, the length of the videos, the complexity of the shoot.
Then add rights and add-ons
The creative fee is only half the story. The other half is what the brand can do with the content — organic or paid-ad usage, how long they can use it, whitelisting, raw footage, revisions, exclusivity and rush turnaround. Each one is a separate, priced item:
| What the brand asks for | Effect on your quote |
|---|---|
| More / longer videos | Base creative fee goes up |
| Paid-ad usage | Premium added on top of the base |
| Longer usage window / perpetual | Usage-rights premium grows |
| Whitelisting / Spark Ads access | Flat whitelisting fee |
| Raw footage delivery | Flat raw-footage fee |
| Extra revisions | Per-revision fee |
| Category exclusivity | Per-day exclusivity cost |
| Rush turnaround | Fast-turnaround surcharge |
Present a range, not a single mystery number
Professional creators quote a low / target / high range, then explain what moved it there. A range gives you room to negotiate without feeling cornered, and it signals that you've actually thought about the deal rather than pulling a number out of thin air.
Stay honest about estimates
No calculator — including this one — can hand you an official, guaranteed industry rate. UGC pricing varies enormously by niche, audience, platform and relationship. What a good tool can do is show you a defensible baseline, itemize every factor, and give you a range you can justify line by line. Treat the number as a negotiation starting point, not a promise you'll land it.
Always state your own niche and audience when quoting — they're legitimate reasons your rate sits above or below a generic baseline.
